Why tap dance is good for you and where to take classes this fall

We’re back from our adjusted summer schedule and ready to hit the ground running this fall! Fall is such a busy time for RMR between performances, festivals, and class and we can’t wait to dance with you!

Why tap dance? Not only is it a fun way to get a workout in, but tap is actually shown to change your brain! Tap dancing improves brain plasticity, creating new neural pathways that help with improved memory, mood, and resilience. Tap dancers are also more resistant to cognitive decline and have stronger auditory processing skills. Keep reading to see all the opportunities you have to change your brain in a tap class this fall!

Our fall community class schedule is LIVE! We are back to offering two levels at each class; advanced beginner for those “used to tap”ers and intermediate/advanced for those seeking a challenge. These classes are community supported and run on your donations! Every donation made goes directly to supporting the class so that we can pay our teachers fair market value and continue to support our community through affordable education. Plus, since we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, all donations are tax deductible! Make sure to reach out for a tax receipt.
